Since the recent shooting at a church in Texas, there have been streams of foolishness from the gun ban lobby trying to explain away the success of an armed citizen in stopping a mass murder.
The Quick and the Dead
As I write this, only the most fundamental details surrounding today’s shooting at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas have been revealed. So far there are said to be two dead (including the attacker) and one critically injured.

To utilize a common country saying, Virginians are attempting to “close the barn door after the cows have gotten out,” and there’s a lesson in it for the rest of us.

I Ain't 'Fraid Of No Ghost
As it turns out, the Santa Clarita murderer used what the gun control lobby calls a “ghost gun.” They use this language, of course, to make it sound more scary than calling it what it actually is: a gun made from an unfinished receiver, which must be milled to completion, and assembled with parts.
Thankful
It was 2012, and in the wake of the Sandy Hook murders we were facing the fight of our lives to preserve the right to keep and bear arms. I was listening to the Black Man With A Gun podcast, when host Kenn Blanchard announced that he was standing up a new website…Gun Rights Magazine…and needed writers. He extended an invitation to listeners who could write to contact him if they were interested in contributing. I was…and I did.
