No Downside
Want to know why we’re seeing politicians of every stripe calling for more and more restrictive quarantine measures against the COVID-19 coronavirus? Simple…it’s because they’ve done their risk assessment and concluded that there is no downside whatsoever for them to do so. At the same time, there is a downside for not doing it.
Seriously
I wish I could figure out how to monetize the phrase, “you need to take this seriously.” Because if I could, with all the internet scolds out there wagging their fingers as those of us reluctant to live in an economically depressed police state because of a virus…well, let’s just say I could go ahead and retire.

It is election day here in Kentucky…and a few other places across the nation. Yesterday, my niece texted me and said, “I feel like this election is a big deal.” I responded to her, “They all are.”
Bad Investments
What would you tell a friend who asked you if they should stick with a financial advisor who had made 20,000 bad investments for him? If that advisor had in fact never made a good investment? Would advise your friend to let that advisor give it just one more try?
