Welcome to deltabravocharlie.com. Here is where I share my thoughts on 2nd Amendment issues and the other enthusiasms that fill my days.

A Conversation With Kenn

A Conversation With Kenn

I recently connected with Kenn Blanchard, and talked about how I came to be the “diversity hire” at Black Man With A Gun (I am really, really white). I might also have rambled on a bit about hunting, aikido, and some other stuff. If you want to know exactly what went down, you’ll just have to click the image below and give it a listen. It is, after all, the podcast for the cool kids.

On a more serious note, I wouldn’t be doing any of this without Kenn’s support, so throw the man a share or a like or a link if you get the chance. There are a lot of great black men and women out there advocating for the 2nd Amendment (Colion Noir, Michael Woodland, Maj Toure, Tony Simon, and Tiffany Johnson to name a few), but every last one of them is standing on Kenn Blanchard’s shoulders. He is the OG BMWAG!

And while you’ll hear this in our podcast conversation, I’ll say it again here: We can fight all day long about the things that make us different (like skin color), or we can embrace each other and the things we have in common (like our love of liberty and the right to keep and bear arms). I for one do not care one whit if you are white or black, male or female, gay or straight, or some other variety of human being I’ve failed to to mention here. If you are a member of our gun tribe, that’s good enough for me, and it will take every last one of us working together to preserve our 2nd Amendment. So if I, as a middle-aged straight white guy, can help to bridge our differences and unite us in some small way, then I’m happy and honored to do it.

You should be, too.
