Wayne's World
Up until now, I’ve deliberately avoided addressing the situation at the National Rifle Association. Since I didn’t feel like I had a very good handle on all of the ins and outs of the fight(s) between the NRA and Ackerman-McQueen, Wayne LaPierre, Oliver North, and the Board of Directors, I thought I ought to keep my mouth shut and listen to those more savvy than me.
Choose Well
Coloradoans recently experienced a (more or less) collective butt-clenching at the possibility that a crazy lady who wanted to shoot up a school might be running around loose in the state.
(A Little More) Free
Effective today, Kentuckians who are legally allowed to possess a handgun may carry that handgun concealed without a permission slip from the government.
Drive On
An argument we often hear from gun prohibitionists is that it is more difficult to obtain and drive a car than it is to obtain and carry a gun. They’ll tell you that it is only "common sense" that we should make gun ownership more closely resemble car ownership.
For Your Own Safety
Katherine Nixon is dead, for her own safety. Afraid of a co-worker’s potential for violence, she voiced that concern to her husband the night before she died, and told him she wanted to take a gun to work.
The Virtue of Guns
It's Just Business
There’s no such thing as a “gun free zone.” As I’ve said before, they are only gun free until they’re not anymore…and that is usually because someone with murderous intent decided to walk right past that sign and start killing. At that point, the only thing gun free is the innocent victims with no means to fight back.
A Conversation With Kenn
I recently connected with Kenn Blanchard, and talked about how I came to be the “diversity hire” at Black Man With A Gun.
Welcome to Delta Bravo Charlie
Some of you may know me from my writing on Kenn Blanchard’s BlackManWithAGun.com, where I have been commenting on gun rights issues since 2013. I’ll continue to focus on the topic here, and cross-post those articles at Kenn’s website. I am nothing if not loyal, and owe Kenn a great deal for giving me the opportunity to stretch my writing wings and for giving me a voice in the fight to preserve our rights.
