The Right Question

“If you’re really a law abiding gun owner instead of a criminal, what difference will gun control laws make to you? What will it hurt to register your guns, or submit to background checks, or to obey any of the other gun restrictions we propose? None of it should impact you if you’re not a criminal.”

That’s the wrong question.

Instead, ask “If your gun control laws won’t impact law abiding gun owners, what makes you think they will impact criminals?”
