It’s a fair point. But if we’re going to accept the assumption that return fire makes it harder to score hits on target…then why would we insist that our schools be as defenseless as a USPSA stage?

Thank God that Elishjsha Dicken was behind a blade of grass at the Greenwood Mall last Sunday. Thank God that the shoppers in that food court didn’t have to wait for help that was at best some minutes away.

An Open Letter: To The Kentucky General Assembly
Times are good right now for Kentucky gun owners. Our state laws offer strong protections for our right to keep and bear arms, and the recent sanctuary movement has seen 108 out of 120 counties voice support for the Second Amendment across the Commonwealth. We also enjoy Republican majorities in both houses of the General Assembly, making any bill proposing tighter gun restrictions essentially dead on arrival.
Warriors Disarmed
You would think that the idea of going and shooting up an American military base would be a real “mission impossible,” wouldn’t you? Anyone brazen enough to walk into a military base and start shooting would be met with withering return fire from America’s warriors, right?
No Such Thing
There is no such thing as a gun-free zone. It is only gun-free until it isn’t anymore, and that is when a criminal ignores your silly rule and commits murder anyway. The only thing gun-free are the law-abiding citizens within, disarmed and at the mercy of a killer.

There’s no such thing as a “gun free zone.” As I’ve said before, they are only gun free until they’re not anymore…and that is usually because someone with murderous intent decided to walk right past that sign and start killing. At that point, the only thing gun free is the innocent victims with no means to fight back.
