Purity

I want you all to look at this good and hard. This is a comment from a person I know to be very much on the political left. You know…the political left which traditionally loves to hate big corporations in general, and Wal-Mart in particular. This is coming from the side of the political spectrum which will vehemently rail against businesses like Wal-Mart and Amazon, blaming them for all sorts of crimes against society.

Look at this comment good and hard:

They are more than willing to set aside their disdain for what they basically consider a corporate criminal, as long as that company will speak the correct political words and toe the correct political line, and extend their corporate middle finger to flyover Americans.

Principles? To paraphrase Groucho Marx, if you don’t like the principles of the left, don’t worry…they have others. The one principle they have which is inviolate, however, is to get yokels like you and me in line. They hate us, and will happily spread their legs for nasty old Wal-Mart if it advances that cause. That is the only purity they embrace.

Do not forget that.

Ohhh, Wal_mart! You know I get hot when you stick it to the peasants!
